Lasting finish 25 hour foundation review

Like many other people that are into beauty, I have tried a air few drugstore foundations and have either been really impressed or very let down.

First I'll tell you about my experience so far with drugstore foundations. I have tried so many and a lot of the time they don't seem to get along with my skin type. My skin is oily and I have struggled with acne most of my teenage life, so I need a foundation that covers up the imperfections. Most of the time and this is the case with foundations, will be gone from my face by the end of the day, I don't know about you but that isn't what I want from my foundation.
That is until I found revlon colour stay, which I find amazing (just like many other people do).
I had been loyal to colour stay for a while and wanted to something new that didn't involve spending a whole months wages on.
This is when I came across Rimmel lasting finish 25 hour foundation. It's like £8, so it's not busting the bank and it works with my skin amazingly well.

Now I didn't set my hopes too high for this product because having tried Rimmels match perfection and having it fail completely on me, I wasn't looking for that much in this foundation. However it completely surprised me.

First thing about this foundation is the colour match to my skin is perfect. It matches me so well and throughout the day as it wears it doesn't turn into a orangy colour like some other foundations I have tried. However I will say that Rimmel don't have the best colour range, so I'm lucky to have found a shade that works without having to mix two colours together.

The other great thing about this foundation is how smoothly it goes on and actually how long it does last. I haven't wore it for 25 hours so I can't really say if it last that long but it has stayed put on my busiest days without having to reapply which is a huge plus for me.
As well as the foundation saying on I don't get super oily and shiny skin because of it. Of course I get a little oily but I get a little oily with mac foundation and that's higher end.

The one downside I have to this product is the packaging, there is just something about it I don't like, it looks cheap and I really feel that this foundation deserves to look more expensive than it is.

Other than that I don't have a bad word to say about this foundation, it now stands up there with colour stay as my favourite drugstore foundations.

A lot more coming up on this blog soon!

Thanks for reading!
